I’m on holiday for a couple of weeks and all the shows have aired. Which means a bit more time for anime.
LET’S PARTAYYYYY!!!
Aside from one show I have yet to view (Jigoku Shoujo 3 SUBS WHERE?!) Thank you, Aero!!!
I’m done with my first impressions of shows for this season. I’m trying to cut down on anime (ZOMGWUT?!) so I purposefully avoided shows that didn’t interest me; you’ll only see shows I watched on this list, which excludes:
- Mouryou no Hako – Lesbians and WW2? No.
- Tytania – F**k yeah space opera with pretty boys all over the place.
- Akane Iru ni Somaru Aka – Eroge adaptation. With about 20% of the eroge. No.
- Hakushaku to Yousei – Shoujo.
- Rosario to Vampire CAPU2 – Crappy art, crappy characters, crappy everything.
- Hokuto no Ken – Didn’t watch the first series, and I won’t start now.
- Kyou no Go no Ni 2 – OVA was HORRIBLE. Minami-ke writer made that? Seriously?!
- Skip Beat! – Shoujo.
- Vampire Knight Guilty – Emo Shoujo.
- Bihada Ichizoku – Nothing to say.
- One Outs – BASEBALL.
- Junjou Romatica 2 – YAOI.
- Nodame Cantabile Paris Arc – Haven’t seen the first series.
- Tentai Senshi Sunred – No subs, but even if there were, NO.
Otherwise anything’s up for grabs; onto the summary! Titles have delicious first impressions links.

Taigasm!!!
Main characters are loveable and comedy is spot on. Though I’m a couple of eps behind, I’ll probably blog this one.

BAD-F**KING-ASS.
Disappointing on almost every front except for the OP. When you com[pare the art and designs here to that of the actual show, it’s just sad. Didn’t even want to watch the second ep. Dropped.

One of two shows this season where I’ve wanted to punch the main character in the face after 5 minutes on screen. Dropped.

First episode was horribly boring, yet the second episode was better in almost every way. Better action scenes, better character devolpement and much creepier (seriously, demonic horned babies?). I’ll probably be blogging this, as it’s redeemed itself in my eyes. Now, if the could only do something about those irritatingly deadpan voice actors…

Everything I expected and wanted it to be. Now that Hana’s gotten away from the Step-Family from Hell, her adventures with Michiko can begin in earnest. Blogging over at Yukan!

Not blogging, but random and hilarious.
SUBS WHERE?!

Amazing action scenes, great character designs and a suitably dark and dingy setting. Not blogging but must see Jet Powered Rocket Sword.

FABULOUS, yet dark, evil and gothic? It boggles the mind! Also blogging, but SUBS WHERE?!

Fucking shit.
NO.

It’s started off better than the last couple of seasons, has better art and a better premise. Plus AI IS MOE. Blogging for sure.

Second ridiculously hilarious comedy of the season, with an awesome OP and great animation. Not blogging, but definitely LMFAO.

Crazy shrine maidens is delisious slice-of-life fun. Not blogging but I’ll keep watching just for Nagi-sama.

So far, hands down best show of the season. 8-9/10 in all possible categories. Most definitely blogging.

Lack of time, subs, and urge to watch the second episode have caught up with me. Doesn’t seem like I’m missing a gem here, so dropped.

Just as stylistic, beautiful and engaging as the first season. Wayyyyy to deep for me to blog (even if some cinematic techniques are superfluous) but avidly watching.

Killing off all the main characters gets people interested. Good animation, music and storylines keeps them watching. Co-blogging with blissmo over at Yukan!

Dark, psychological, post-apocalyptic awesomeness. Blogging and I gotta catch up with this, but in the meantime, get thee to a Hoshi.

Screw what people are saying, I LOVE the comedy in Clannad, and it’s primarily what keeps me watching. Not to say that it can’t make me B’AWWWW when it wants to. Not blogging, but I have my tissues at the ready.
EDIT:

Completely forgot, blogging Chaos Head over at Yukan! Death + moe = dark moe extravaganza.

Dammit, there’s too much good stuff on this season sucking up my time. But who cares, anime’s a vital part of every day life, right XD? Welcome to the second full season of blogging at Anime Chatter, ad hopefully it’s going to be just as crappy awesome as the first.

Coming at you at the speed of BUTTSLAM.
Wow, Omisyth, bianktia is right when she said you were a blogging machine
From now on, I dub thee Sir Blogging Machine
“Kyou no Go no Ni 2 – OVA was HORRIBLE.”
O, RLY ?
Dude the high powered rocket sword is not as good as you’re making it out to be. Imean FINE it does have JET ROCKETS and it is A SWORD. But overa-y’know I’ll stop trying.
Jigoku Shoujo eh? Seeing you comment on death will be funny.
Though the anime of Yozakura is…..not impressive. I strongly advise everyone to try the manga, as it is much more entertaining.
all hail, my favorite blogging machine! ^^
i’m still not finished with most of the shows but i’m getting burned out just by looking at them stored in my hard drive. i’m resolved to just watch chaos;head, gai-rei (since the blissmo approves) and jigoku shoujo. then i’m done for the first impressions of the season.
Sorry you feel that way about ToA, but I guess I’m biased towards it since I played the otherwise awesome game. Still yet to try some of these shows, I can’t really comment on them.
@blissmo
I accept the title, Oh Mistress :p
@karry
YAH RLY.
@Avisch
I actually like Jigoku Shoujo, so I probably won’t make fun of it. Except with the titles. Mmmm funny titles.
@biankita
I have wayyyy to much spare time. Until two weeks from now when I’ll have no time. Until then, watching and blogging anime ftw.
@Shin
Get thee to a Toaru. ‘Tis awesome.
Lolssss. :] A mini Baka-Raptor in the making? Anyhow, you’ve got a crazy schedule here O_O
…you’ll regret skipping out on Skip Beat!! (or so I can only hope
)
@Hoshi
I must devour Casshern as much good anime as possible to wash the taste of bad shows I watched last season out of my… brain.
@usagijen
Oh well, to each his/her own.
“It’s started off better than the last couple of seasons, has better art and a better premise. Plus AI IS MOE. Blogging for sure.”
Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae, I’m thinking of catching it too but I’ve only watched episode 1 of the 1st season and the live action version. Will I be able to get what’s happening if I’m to just jump into the bandwagon for this season? Is season 3 perhaps on the life story of Ai?
@Hynavian
Oh no, you ‘ll have no idea what’s going on, seriously. They’ve already explained Ai’s entire history (and that of the assistants) in season 2; I’d suggest coming back after seeing the first 2 seasons.
BUTTSLAM!!!! XD
