Due to the fact the night is so hot I cannot sleep (also helped by the fact I was killing zombiees for a couple of hours… so many zombies) and I am also nonsensical and very bored, here is a random factoid. Tomorrow (technically 28 minutes from now) will be the 1 month anniversary of my blog. Why write something now, you say? Refer to first sentence. There shall be an anniversary postz, but for now, just wanted to say that for some weird reason, Koihime Musou is my most viewed post at 117 views. One of the worst shows this season has the greatest number of views. Hmm. Though around half of them seem to be from searching “Koihime Musou Yuri”. Damn eroges are getting crappy adaptations everywhere.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with yuri, but I’m also fine with good action, plot, and characters. Of which, this show is devoid of. It’s boobs plus Rin Rin and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It’s not funny, engaging, exciting, interesting, witty, satirical, amazing, mind-blowing or any number of adjectives other than, well, crap. And yet it will still get subbed by more groups than Mission-E.
And the most ironic thing is, this post will probably get most of it’s views from people searching for Koihime Musou. Stupid irony.
Your exactly right. I downloaded the first episode and just couldent stand it 15 minutes into it. It is just that boring.
AT least people have been reading your blog for one month. It took me 3 times as long before people started giving me hits while looking for Junjou Romantica -_-“
People caring about Koihime Musou? Saying that seems funny enough.
An eroge adaptation that threw away the protagonist….how swell.
jb: you lasted maybe 5 minutes longer than me. Good job.
there are people who care about koihime musou??? i couldn’t believe i sat through the whole of episode 1.
@jb
It’s one of the few shows for me where fanservice does nothing to make it more interesting.
@issa-sa
Well, if that’s the case, it seems there may be hope for anime watchers yet. Junjou Romantica NEEDS to be ignored. This statement is in no way biased towards yaoi shows.
@avisch
The only reason they did that was to increase the chances of yuri. And it STILL didn’t help. Not much can save a show with bad scriptwriting and animation and storyline and…, well, everything.
@biankita
I was in astonishment as well. Congratulations to both of us.
Heh, I know what you mean, my first impressions post for Koihime Musou accounts for ~25% of all hits on my blog (which is as old as yours). Someone, somewhere is very curious about this show. 🙂
Alas, I am one of thee poor saps who enjoys the show. For one I’m a sucker for Three Kingdoms fanservice; but besides that, the animation is colorful and easy on the eyes, the characters well-defined and not too stereotypical, and I love how the show realizes its own anime-ness and pokes repeated fun of it.
It won’t win any awards, but I’d rank it as quality anime candy.
@Korasoff
I’m not that interested in Chinese Warlords so that doesn’t help the show any. In my opinion, it just didn’t do anything to stand out from any other show.
[…] – far from it. Much has already been said about the show’s premise, execution, and style. But for those who have some familiarity with the original material of Romance of the Three […]
