It never fails.
The best part about the entire episode was definitely Tome’s blackmail/threat/complete pwnage of the Cruella De Vil the aunt (who’s name still hasn’t been mentioned). It makes me see her as more than a hawt meido side-character in that she got some character developement; she went from carer to protector, but without comprimising her kind nature. I was surprised when she said that:
because Tome’s such a gentle woman, but her collapsing outside of the room just showed that it’s still the Tome we know and love, only with greater amounts of hax and resolve now ^_^. I look forward to seeing Chiko and Tome adventuring and solving crimes later on. Along with Kaito, who got no screentime this episode.
And new mystery time! I have no idea what’s going to happen now. I mean, they’ve solved the mystery of the white-haired devil, found out what happened to Twenty Faces (who pormptly disappears again, the sonofabitch), and Ken-nii’s gone as well. But it’s been a great series up to this point so I think the writers’ll manage to pull something out of their hats, as apparently this is the point where the series’ diverges from the manga (though I didn’t even know there was a manga).
But it was great to see the new fire in Chiko’s eyes, she’s cast away her dependence on Twenty Faces and is slowly growing into the master thief we see in the OP. Again, now that she doesn’t wish to follow him blindly, what will they do now? There are never any previews so I guess only time will tell what the next arc is going to be about.
Overall, a good climax, which resolves a lot of the threads/relationships between characters with an exciting flourish. What better way to end an arc than with a crashing blimp of DOOM?
And the fact the people on the blimp weren’t dead was a plus, too.
OK, the next time he shows up he’ll DEFINITELY die.
Yay 4 death flags!
Ooh, ooh, can I play?
All I have to do is kill myself multiple times still be alive and I win, right?
That’s not an ominous, foreshadowing title.
A bitch till the end, White-Haired Devil.
I know the answer!
Is it because you’re a lying, deceptive, pompous bitch?
No?
If by “find” you mean “rape”, then I believe you.
Holy crap, EXPLOSION!
This one does not make me happy.
Miss Chiko won’t be defeated by something as puny as an explosion!
Thank god, everything’ll be fine.
For a moment there I thou-
Crap, not again!
What do we do now?!
OK, that’s good, it’s not like there could be anoth-
…
Fiddlesticks.
Chiko blushing = service of the week :3
Don’t worry, he won’t leave your side again, Chiko!
Well, I’ll be damned.
When the hell will they get rid of this uninteresing, aggravating antagonist?
Awwwwwww~
Tome-service :3
The aunt is such a fail ‘villainess’. Falling pot plants? And she got one-upped by the meido? Guess she should’ve learnt to cook something other than yellow soup.
Yeah, Tome was the definite highlight of this episode. If only there was a Sai Maid I’d vote for her.
Although I kind of hope the aunt shows up again. Her terrible attempts at killing Chiko are pretty hilarious.
Tome is my favorite heroine; I hope she’ll continue her stand and shield Chiko from the evil aunt’s useless pill attacks. XD
@issa-sa
I bet that was from an instant packet too.
@Ibrevis
Alas, the combination of Saimoe and Sai Meido would be too much for any fan; there would be a rash of deaths across all of Japan, and possibly even the world.
@Hynavian
Miss Chiko will never be defeated by the likes of the evil aunt.
