Creed Diskenth: Imagine Blade
The beautiful Creed Diskenth and his “Kotetsu” or “Imagine Blade”.
This invisible sword was created by Creed after he studied Tao and managed to learn to maipulate his Chi through this art. I have no idea why that is but it’s on wikipedia so it must be right!
Black Cat was a great series that kind of lost it’s direction towards the end, but for me Creed was just a character that I loved to hate. He’s completely, orgasmically in love with Train from pretty much start to finish in the show, and is willing to do anything in order to gain his partnership. Even if it means killing people that Train likes. Which is also a complete CONFLICT OF LOGIC. But Creed doesn’t realise this as he’s so damn crazy (though it’s not his fault), and that’s what I love about the guy.
Reasons why the Imagine Blade Rocks:
- It’s invisible. There’s nothing worse than trying to fight against someone using a weapon you can’t see. Except for fighting someone who’s invisible. Okay, weapon invisbility is the second worst.
- Creed wields it like a sadistic, blood-loving crazy man. Which is what he is. Seriously, he sctaually says that the only way to help Train is to kill him. Now THAT’S tough love.
- It can pretty much shape itself according to Creed’s will and killing intent. Which means that if you try to run away, it’ll just extend. If you try to go into a building, it’ll just smash through the wall. If you try to run behind any sort of obstacle, the damn thing’ll bend just to catch you. So, once your in his sights, and have attempted to take away his precious Train, you are SCREWED. Unless you have the power to stop him. Which you don’t. So, you’re still screwed.
- It has three levels (at least in the anime, in the manga it’s four, apparently):
Level 1: Invisible Extending Blade
You expected there to be a screencap of an invisible sword?
Boooooring.
Instead, take in Creed’s FABULOUSness.
Back when crazy BL was funny to watch rather than just disturbing.
Level 2: Savage GONNA KILL THE CRAP OUT OF YOU Black Monster Head
Level 3: Savage GOING TO SERIOUSLY COMPLETELY FUCK YOU OVER Huge Monster Arm of DOOM
The fact that I only saw the last two near the end of Creed’s part of the series contributes to the weapon’s awesome factor. There’s also the fact that Creed’s pretty much unkillable due to immortal nanomachines (except by Train) but that’s not part of the imagine blade so I can’t make that a factor. Bea in mind there’s yet another form of the Imagine Blade, but since wiki describes it as some sort of “lightsaber” that only appears in the manga, I deemed it not worthy of a screencap. Okay, I just couldn’t find one.
Invisible eh? *COUGH* ELFEN LIED *COUGH*
If I were you, I would’ve put Tao in place of Imagine Blade. If you get Tao, you do not only get IB, but as well as the other Tao weapons/manifestations.
But yea, IB ROCKS!
I think Saber’s Excalibur is pretty cool when it’s in “invisible mode”. I’m unsure how it’ll fare against Black Cat because I haven’t watched it.
Yep, Lucy can beat him when it comes to ‘invisible powerz’ but Creed still wins because of his fabulous-ness though… I’m looking forward on what other weapons are in your ‘inventory’ though 🙂
@xephfyre
Vectors = Body Parts = Not Weapons.
Lucy could still pwn Creed though.
@7
Tao = Mystical Art = Not Weapons.
That’s why I chose the Imagine Blade specifically.
Unless it means something different in the manga.
@Hynavian
Creed’s love of Train would overcome Saber’s love of Shiro and give him the ultimate edge.
@kanzeon
My inventory… contains that which you might not expect…
I hope you include Tower of Druaga’s genderbending traps. Maybe not too much of a weapon but someone made them… and used them.
But really… Shana-tan’s Meron Pan Beamu~
@omisyth: They’re still used with the intent of a weapon. hee~
@ffviiknight
DEADLY TRAP BOOBS.
@xephfyre
I wouldn’t mess with Lucy. NO-ONE would mess with Lucy.
I found your blog on google Great Info and great anime lovers. I just added you to my Google News Reader 🙂 Keep up the good work. Looking forward to reading more from you in the future.
Perfectly describes Creed. Personally I like level one the best.
