NEXT episode. This time we get some lolwut lolinun and railgun.
This is by far the best premier of the new season. It has EVERYTHING I like about anime: action, a soundtrack which truly fits each situation in the show, engaging characters, an intrguing plotline and great animation. The only problem I had was that Kamijo said Fuko way too often. Okay, you’re unlucky and are prone to slipping on soda cans/sandwiches/your mobile phone, we get it. Everything else was spot on. I looked at the promo art for this and thoght it would be a romance show with some magic thrown in, mahou shoujo style, but oh, how wrong I was (Side Note: Is it me or do the Japanese Light Novels get good adaptationsmost of the time? I’ve seen Kino no Tabi, Shana and now this.)
Touma’s awesome. He has power and knows it, but rather thanbeing an arrogant asshole or a shy but ZOMG STRONG male lead, he just chooses not to brush everything off as being unfortunate. H even offered a nun who was begging for food while hanging off his balcony food he stepped on twice. It’s interesting to see how Index suggested that his right hand nullifies everything, be it psychic powers, magic clothes or good luck. Speaking of Index…
I almost died from cuteness overload here. But aside from that, she’s not a cookie cutter moe type. She obviously knows that she carries a great burden with the knowledge she possesses and that she and anyone around her is in danger at anytime. Though how she thought stayiing for lunch at a stranger’s house is beyond me. But, her clothes did explode, so I’d say alls well that ends well. Except for her being so hurt at the end of the episode, poor Index ;_;.
From moe to mature.
The world this is set in is very interesting.
Futuristic and scientific, while being mixed with magic and the supernatural.
Apparently, this is from the same people who worked on Shana, which woud explain the quality (and coming from Shana-tan, the comedy ^_^). So let’s just check things off:
- Awesome music? Check.
- Great characters? Check.
- Great comedy? Check.
- Good Animation and art? Check.
- Plot potential? Check.
- Great OP and Ed, the first of whcih, though Shana-esque, has aunique feel to it and the latter of which is calming/soothing/well done? Check.
I’m definitely blogging this series, it’s just too good to pass up. If I didn’t…
I’d make the loli teacher cry ;_;
