It’s EVERYWHERE!
This was surprisingly good, espeically as the first time I looked at the promo material I thought “dear merciful god no” and almost threw up a little bit. Turns out it’s actually funny rather than cute and squeaky clean. And by funny I mean the zany, off the wall random kind, like the usage of claymation or a CG Matryoshka doll head for absolutely no reason. Seiously, that came out of nowhere and could either be considered creative censoring or comedic genius. It’s definitely the weirdest magical school I’ve seen in a show, with animal ears, headless robots, deformed goblins, computer lolis, magic vampires (who actually feed on magic itself), and elves all over the place.
The art’s just… weird (especially when they throw fanservice into the mix) but the comedy’s spot on, and the animation itslef is quite good (particularly the part with the giant blazing plasma sword. Doesn’t that type of phrase make you want to watch :P?) The sudden schizophrenic change of the silent, shy girl, to the gruff, brazen, angry one was a nice touch too. Music was typical of what you’d expect for a series looking like this (I think) and the OP reminds me a lot of Kyouran Kazoku Nikki (as a large portion of the who does, oddly) Not much else to say. It’s funny, looks okay, and had me laughing a majority of the time. Not blogging material, but great for some mindless fun.
Is it over 9000?
We all need some zany anime, and this season this one seems be it! I’ll give it a try.
the clay threw me off. but aside that, the animation pretty good.
the show reminds me of a lolishota version of that louiseXsaito anime (can’t remember the title). but i hate shows that has any character running around like a monkey. ish a no for me.

Also, try Kemeko DX! It’s just as zany, if not zanier.
