He is so freakin’ awesome.
This episode was not only full of disturbing yaoi overtones but the entire plot made no sense. So Takeru took revenge on his Aniki (didn’t catch the name) because he was scared of getting knifed by a gang member on a bus. That makes no sense whatsoever. His Aniki was the person who taught him how to be a stronger person, stopped him getting bullied and made him stick up for himself, why the hell would he want to send him to Hell? I can understand Takeru’s image of his Aniki as the Unbeateable Ally of Justice may have been shattered (even that’s hard to believe; would you want to go up against a guy with a knife and a scar on his face? In a purple shirt?) but that gives him no right to send him to Hell. So he lied about needing to protect him, who gives a shit, he just didn’t want to look like a wimp in front of Takeru.
The hell was up with this entire scene? Do the BDSM bullies get a kick out of seeing boys naked and strung up against a tree? The music accompanying this scene was just plain corny as well, it was like the appearance of a matador in the arena or somethnig. (Listen to it again, and you’ll understand). And then Aniki reveals how he’s “still smooth at 22”. WTF?! Random singing, random complimenting each other’s looks, random eye-licking/thankfully off-screen kissing scenes that left Takeru blushing, all just staggeringly disturbing.
One of the worst parts of the episode lasted only 1 freaking second. WTF’s up with the smile on his face? He’s killed the only person he seems to have respected, he’s quit doing kendo and he’s geting the crap beaten out of him again. Maybe the immense stupidity of what he’s done finally caused him to snap.
Many believe this may be a certain someone who’s already appeared in the series and perhaps rightly so; not only did they never show her full face in the episode (that was so blatant it was ridiculous), she even has a butterfly earring on. Could this mean the return of Tsugumi?
This season is turning out to be the most disappointing of all. Not only does it deal with mundane, irritating and nonsensical cases, the misplaced comedy and fanservice (if you could call what happened in this episode “fanservice”) just ends up creating one huge pile of annoying bullshit. What happened to the cases where it wasn’t always black and white, or where there was actual LOGIC involved in sending people to Hell? What happened to the unjust and unfair episodes where people were wrongly accused, or heck, what happened to the episodes where you actually felt for the characters on the giving and receiving end of the revenge? They better get into the main storyline soon, because whoever’s writing this show has no idea what they’re doing; after 2 seasons the staff for Jigoku Shoujo may have just run out of ideas and started smoking crack to come up with this stuff.
Next Time:
An interesting sounding plot? That makes sense?!
YAKK DECULTURE!!!
Yep. I guess that’s ——- because she has that butterfly earring. So if she’s here then that means this season takes place several years later…
@kanzeon
Interesting…
