#1 D.Gray-man
Allen Walker – Crown Clown
One hand fights for the Akuma, the other fights for humanity.
D.Gray-man was most definitely a series of ups and downs. Mostly due to the cursed filler that showed up in the middle of the show reducing all character plot, and innocence developement to nil, as filler normally does. But when in it got back on track it was pure quality in terms of everything, except possibly the animation (mostly due to me being spoiled by the amazing quality of Soul Eater; Black Star Vs Mifune Round 2 ftw. What places the Crown Clown above the others in my list is that what I say goes, so don’t argue with me it’s a weapon that truly evolves, develops and grows more powerful as time goes on, along with Allen as a character. Watching him fight, win, lose, lose horribly and then become complete pwnage was a great experience, not least because of the fantastic abilities that the Crown Clown itself possesses.
Reasons why the Crown Clown rocks:
- As I mentioned before, it’s an evolving weapon, with multiple forms. See Wiki for all the details.
- Thwe final form of Allen’s Innocence, Crown Clown, looks exquisite; the design of the silver (delicious silver) mask accompanied by the cloak and two different arms all with an airy fluid nature, and then there’s the fact that Allen’s arm turns into a badass huge sword. And everyone love huge swords.
- There’s a large variation of ways to use the Crown Clown. Though he can simply destory anything with his claws (rawr) he can use various techniques, such as the Cross Grave and the Edge End. One of the most useful is the Clown Belt; not only can he impale enemies on his cloak, he can use it as a harness or rope and hold on to his surroundings. Then there’s also the Sword of Excorcism and what’s great about this is that it’s a selective weapon, i.e it only destroys “evil” or Akuma, not humans. Wouldn;t a weapon that could destroy only what you wished for be useful? None of that pesky “collateral damage”.
Well, that’s my list, and you may not agree with it, but in my opinion, that’s what makes it a good list. One thing I have learned: I’ll divide my Top Ten’s into halves from now on, much more easy to digest and write. Look forwrd to the next list coming whenever I feel like it. Whoever’s still here anyway :P.
Seconded.
I concur
@Kairu Ishimaru
As well you should.
@AnimeXploit
As well you should.
Ah, DGM. I remember that I used to be obsessed with Alan and Lavi, and the series as a whole, but then … the episodes kept coming …
As well WE should.
@blissmo
You did not fangirl enough.
That’s the number one? And I thought your top weapon would be somewhat god-wielded or something.
I have to admit, I’m kinda disappointed. Then again, if you put it that way (considering its flexibility of usage), I guess it’s all acceptable.
@7
Ah well, still awesome in my eyes.
Yes, he’s powerful. But like I said on the deathnote page, the deathnote is the ideal weapon.
Also, if you’re talking about elegance and power, if you consider a vampire as a weapon, then Alucard would fill this slot much better.
Killing only evil isn’t selective destruction, it’s destruction with a limit. This also means that whatever you want to kill needs to be 100% evil, otherwise it doesn’t work. I’d call it more useless than useful. But on the other hand, Alan only wants to exorcise Akuma, so I guess he finds it useful.
ROARRRR! crown clown + sword ftw.
doesnt have to be 100% evil allen ends up stabbing himself with the sword on accident nearly kills himself
me gusta allen por que tiene una mirada en cantadora
