She hath surpassed the time-space continuum.
Toradora really is able to strike a great balance between touching moments and comedy. It seems like each episode starts funny then either winds down for developement or speeds up for drama (or both); I personally prefer the former as it really allows us to relate to the characters and their experiences more, and is actually quite subtle most of the time.
I’m not sure whether I’m supposed to be amused, aroused or disturbed…
The shared dream sequence just goes to show that (if you didn’t notice already) the events of the last episode are having their effects on both Ryuuji and Taiga. At least, if you ignore the whole “I gave birth to puppies” theme. The two’s relationship continues to shift from the point of supportive combatants in their respective fights for lurv and towards a more warm and (d-d-dare I say it) loving one. Even Taiga (I presume) says that the life in the dream (minus the dog ears) wouldn’t be so bad; she’s (love)sick and tired of being a nervous wreck in front of Kitamura. It reminds me of something that was said on the 30Rock the other day (a bevy of life lessoins can be discovered in that show): Wouldn’t it just be easier if you could get past the awkwardness beginning of a relationship and skip to the point where you were completely comfortbale together? To be able to confide and trust in each other to such an extent, Taiga and Ryuuji are clearly part of the way there.
Nom Nom Minorin :3
I love these types of angles, they’re used way to often in anime these days, but when they’re used sparingly and at the right time, the emotional impact is amazing. All’s not well for Minorin in regards to affairs of the heart. The metaphor of ghosts/love(rs) was surprisingly suitable and touching, for what is love if not an ethereal, indescribable and unbelievable thing? Fight on Minorin, with your personality you shall surely recognise love someday. And we still love you, even if you’re weakness was revealed this episode (damn you, seaweed ghost. DAMN YOU!)
Dog > Taiga.
Gotta love the guy taking pics at the back.
That is one freaking AWESOME villa.
Minorin’s eyes. Quality animootion or calculated cuteness?
I’m not sure if Ryuuji should be fighting with the dirt or his own OCD…
God, I wish I was Taiga…
No comment.
Sad Ryuuji in the villa hauu~
I know what the first two boing’s were for, but Taiga should’ve been careful with that third…
Only Minorin could get “high” off curry.
Oh yeah, Ami, still a teasing *censored* and Kitamura still a complacent and confusing friend. DO SOMETHING ALREADY!
Next Time:
Saw 3749025: You’ll never see it coming like the other 3749024 times.
FUFUFUFUFUU THE UNIVERSE HAS SPOKEN.
i’m not really sure… i don’t get what the third boing is. i can imagine but i don’t want to.
@mellow_bunny
Like music to my ears.
@biankita
Let’s just not go there >_>
AND HER CHEST WAS LIKE…
BOING…..AND……BOING….
AND THEN……
BOING
awesome episode.
Srsly. Everyone ought to look up to her as a role model.
You captured Ryuuji’s creepy OCD perfectly. It’s inhuman.
So much win in this episode! Props for noting that guy with a cameraphone, and for pimping 30 Rock. Funny show is smart too. Ahh Minorin. Maybe we Minorin blogger types should make a shrine. I’m in if you lead Omi.
@xephfyre
Mmmmm BOING’s.
@The Sojourner
Who? Though all three ways still work 😛
@schneider
And that’s why we love him.
@ghostlightning
We Minorin lovers must support each other and the Minoreligion. Let’s start a cult. Seems to work for Jedis.
