Truly, I was mistaken in my previous post. I have seen the lightm, the error of my ways and can now enjoy and engage in the spirit of the holiday season. Thank you Kairu. Thank you so very much.
Having taken a step back from myself,Β I realise how rash I was for immediately jumping to the conclusions that I mentioned in my previous post. Kairu Ishimaru’s words of pure wisdom have made me realise just how much FAIL that post was made up of. He’s right, I couldn’t think of anything of substance or credibility to put on this backwater blog of mine; if I could, maybe I’d be able to match up to his MONSTER EXPLOSION OF 20,000 HITS that he experienced in one day. But, perhaps I should be thankful, as his chastisement of me was just what I needed to get my brain in gear and actually think before I wrote.
Christmas is not, as I previouisly said, about commercialisation; it’s about the fact that people are brought together, despite their religion or creed, to simply have a good time with each other, and what better place to see this than on the blogosphere? As the holiday fast approaches, not only do we see the appearance of Christmas banners and themes that make me want to drop down to my knees and cry due to their gloriousness (though sitting down, I’m unable to do so)Β the heavenly feature added by WordPress to, for just a few weeks have snow snowly tickle across your blog is one of the greatest presents I could ask for. Seeing the excitement of the holiday come through in people’s writing is a treasure so rarely experienced that I feel I should cherish it beyond measure.
So having finally attained the Christmas spirit, I thank the gods themselves (of which I consider Kairu to be a member) for blessing my life and my blog with both wisdom and the greatest holiday of the year, nay, of all time.
Seriously though…
Forgive my previous rant,Β bashing and poor attempts at satire as it was simply me expressing my frustration before heading off to my university interviews. I’m actuallybeing considered by Cambridge for a place, which is one of the best colleges in the UK, so I was kind of nervous as I felt like I had been stuffing the information in my head and yet it just wasn’t going in. It’s done now, so all I can do is hope for the best and pray that I get in >.<
Kairu, I wasn’t trying to make it personal in any way, yours was jsut the first blog I saw which had snow falling on it, so you were the person I linked to. Also, I don’t like you. I apologize if I caused legitamate offence with that MADE-OF-FAIL reference, it was just a joke, satire, two-faced bastardness whatever you want to call it. Plus, I’m so jealous of your blog hits ;_;
Love your banners and kanzeon’s and I really am jealous of your mad PS skillz.
Hopefully, I, and you dear readers, can just put this little joke behind us and move on towards the holidays. I really do like Christmas, though : Gamer + Christmas = perhaps XBox 360 get?
And we end with some Minorin :3
Hope you make it to Cambridge. What do you plan on doing there?
Well trolled sir, well trolled. I actually thought for a bit that your post was srsbsns :p
lol. I did not consider your previous post to be srs bzness at all.
So am I right to presume that you are either an aspiring law student or a medicine student since UK universities only demand interviews from medicine or law applicants? Of course, Oxford and Cambridge are the only exceptions for they demand a interview for all applicants regardless of the course.
Nevertheless, good luck!
Oh and thank you for the Minorin.
@Owen S
Thanks for the well wishes. It’s going to be Classics if I do get an offer. And don’t ask me what I’ll do if I get a degree π
@nazarille
But it was! Or was it?
@The Sojourner
Ha! I wish I was good enough to take on such esteemed courses. I’ll stick to analysing the ancients thanks.
And you’re welcome.
Classics… that would be Classical Literature? I’m not all that familiar with British divisions of study, I’m afraid.
obvious troll was obvious. good luck and may you get what you want. merry christmas.
Well, I’m not really sure what the course entails, as they really push the “flexibility” aspect. You’re made to do everything in yuor first year: text and translation, philosophy, art, history (all ancient of course) and then you wittle it downto what you end up most interested in in your second and third years.
I’m not really familiar with UK colleges besides Hall’s Open University, so congrats on that!
Urgh. More bookworms. You are making me look bad lol. Maybe you can teach me a thing or two in the future!
Taking out your frustrations on the Holiday season? Tsk, tsk. Santa will put you on the naughty list for messing with his holiday. No Xbox 360 for you after all.
But that aside, I wish you luck in getting in to Cambridge, though I have no idea how luck would play into it exactly if the interview is already over (maybe just that other people will fail), but still…good luck!
we need to talk on AIM like now.
So what are you gonna do after you get the degr…oh wait, you said not to ask..
it was an obvious troll. just bad that you targetted a kid who may not have understood it.
get into cambridge so i can brag to people that i know someone who goes there XD good luck!
The previous post lost its impact with this ):
Anyway, good luck with Uni!
kewl post
GLHF with Cambridge. Hope ya get in π
Also, please, troll Kairu harder next time.
Good luck on Cambridge! Whatever that is, I know it smells fabulous already! I lol’d on the troll and that reply though XD… Oh Santa…
Really? Am I that great? O.OI’ll make you some banners if you’d like to ^_^ Just tell me what anime/character and I’ll do it for ya πI envy you. Classics and Theology seem to me to be the two most interdisciplinary subjects in the Humanities, because they’re so deliciously arbitrary (‘anything to do with [Greece & Rome] / [God & religion]’). Logical subject organisation rarely seems to cut it when it comes to providing a broad spectrum of things to think about.
Goodluck with Cambridge! If you’re interested in analyzing the ancients, I’m a major in analyzing the stuff that ancients had done so we’ll prolly work well together. LOL (::
You might want to analyze me for I shall be an ancient in a few centuries’ time.
@ghostlightning
And a happy new year to you.
@lelangir
Domo.
@The Sojourner
Who says I can’t do so now? π
@FuyuMaiden
I WANT KURISUMASU PRESENTSU NAO!
It’s slightly malevolent but for some to succeed, others must fail. Thanks for the well wishes.
@21stcenturydigitalboy
I’ll hit you up when I’m done with this. But it’s a day later. I’ll do so anyway.
@animekritik
Ever full of witty banter, aren’t ye?
@biankita
Ahh the naivete of youth π
Now I definitely have a reason to get in.
@Shin
I’m just that kind of guy, can’t troll someone and actually lose friends/ gain enemies can I?
@Kevin Allen
Domo.
@xephfyre
Oh I shall. I shall…
@kanzeon
You’d do that for me? I’m touched ;_;
If the urge ever comes over me, yoroshiku!
@The Animanachronism
Thanks to english, I have acquired a partial skill to rattle on about things even if they’re meaningless, so when I actually find something I like, tl;dr get.
@Hynavian
Hey, that would be really helpful. I’ll put you down as a source of information then ^_^
@The Sojourner
You forgot the [ID].
Apology accepted my tsundere friend. Well Christmas is truly fun, if you enjoy it on some way.
PS. Added you on my blogroll.
PSS. Merry advance kurismasu to you! π
“Youβre made to do everything in yuor first year: text and translation, philosophy, art, history (all ancient of course)…”
Ah. I miss my previous university in the Philippines. I felt that I was getting a well rounded education there and that I actually used my brain. No offense to my school now in Canada, but I feel like I’m getting dumber in general despite gaining skills in coding.
Anyways, Good Luck~! ^o^/
Good luck with getting into Cambridge. π
@Kairu Ishimaru
Thanks. Also added.
@picchar
Continue to work hard in your home and gracious land.
@TheBigN
