Because I still don’t understand why anyone names sequels “the [number X]. Unless it’s Lemony Snicket.
Slap Up Party: This is just f*cking stupid. No joke.
Pros: None.
Cons: everything.
Sticking around?
Refer to one liner.
Sengoku Basara: REAL MEN SHOW THEIR LOVE THROUGH THEIR FISTS.
Pros: hilarious at times, fantastic animation and art, funny characters.
Cons: also kind of boring at times, military side of things doesn’t interest me.
Sticking around?
If the art and jokes keep up, I may stick around. Will judge solely on the second episode.
Basquash!: SLAM DUNK OF AWESOME.
Do I really ned to say anything that hasn’t been said?
Sticking around?
YESSSSSSS.
Full Metal Alchemist: Back and better than ever.
Pros: HUGHES!!!, great art and animation, characters, storyline, pretty much everything good about the first show.
Cons: May get boring rewatching the slower parts of first series.
Sticking around?
IT’S FREAKIN’ FMA, OF COURSE.
Shin Mazinger Z: BIG BANG PUNCH!!!
Pros: Like the style and the MANLY PASSION. Interesting cast of characters.
Cons: Have no idea what the hell is going on, and not bothered to actually find out.
Sticking around?
Meh, this is clearly for the longtime fans of the series and even if it wasn’t I just don’t care enough to watch the next ep. Pass.
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~: They are ghosts who are phantoms who don’t exist anywhere since they have amnesia and are phantoms who are ghosts.
Pros: great animation and art (the style and tone of the art was particularly good), interesting premise, good action. OP and ED are very stylish.
Cons: Drama comes of as heavy handed a lot of the time. It’ll be irritating if the writers of the show continue to smash into our heads that they have no identity and must kill to live by having it said at least 4 to 5 times in the space of 5 minutes, such as in this episode. Music was awful a couple of times, but fine at others.
Sticking around?
Leaning towards a yes with this one. If it starts to quickly move on from how they DO NOT EXIST ANYWHERE, then it could turn out good.
Ristorante Paradiso: Man Harem.
Pros: wonderful music, great tone (for the most part), shows set in Italy automatically get +points.
Cons: Sub par animation, romance aspect of the show really puts me off.
Sticking around?
There’s a type of slice-of-life I adore, and this ain’t it. A disappointment, really.
I personally like Slap Up Party because of its utter stupidity. *looks back at Bo-bobo*
lolold man with glasses fetish shoujo.
Well, at least you’ve managed to avoid the horrors of Queen’s Blade and Higashi no Eden…
Wait, i take half of it back. Highashi no Eden just might be worth watching. Might.
Higashi no Eden’s pretty good! D:
@fangzhao
Ugh, I remmeber watching the dubbed version of Bobobo -_-
@revolemina
What fangzhao says.
If you mean jokes by its over-the-top nature, episode 2 of Sengoku sort of delivers again.
