Yes, a living breathing animal is harder to take care of than a guitar. You’re going to make a great mother someday, Yui.
Anyone who’s done any technical theater work, hell, anyone with any common sense at all, knows that if someone on the stage is in the dark you simply adjust the lighting to cover that person. Tilt the lights, BOOM, Ritsu’s in the light and this episode need never have happened. If someone’s that much in the dark, then the lighting designer needs a slap.
Know what? If Gitah was alive, I’d be buying him a beer and congratulating him on dumping the baggage.
Such passion, such dedication! Without a doubt this’ll be the new instrument that Ritsu will-
Less than a minute. Oh these fickle hearts of young girls.
Wow, that’s deep not shallow. How did the episode suddenly become about Mio? She’s just received more “character development” than the character this episode is supposed be about. And in the space of about a minute. I say this, but then she reverts back to her “prop” status almost immediately. That’s right, KyoAni, undercut any of the insightful parts of your characters with a joke!
Sawako: JUST AS PLANNED. Best. Character. In. Show.
HA. HAHA. YUI. THINKING. HAHAHAHAHA.
I get it now. It’s Sawako’s conspiracy to take over the school! She’s slowly going to gain the trust of every student, then every teacher and eventually become school principal so she can exert her dominatrix tendencies on the entire school body. Well, perhaps not, but I’d sure as hell watch it.
That was a pretty sweet moment, looking into the (surprisingly simple) reason Ritsu plays the drums. I kind of liked the fact she did it just because it looks cool. It annoys me how the show can have moments of insight and/or sweetness such as this, and then go back to such pointlessness.
I just realised that something. This is the first time I’ve noticed two storylines in K-On!/!!. Granted, the second one with Sawako had a collective screentime of 5 minutes, but nonetheless it was pretty entertaining. If they can get the balance of mindlessness and comedy right, then the mindlessness would come across better. Hopefully, they’ll employ this kind of thing more often.
ENOUGH WITH THE F*CKING TEA.
Street lamps. I don’t think any of the characters have the guts to damage the community like Taiga.
*gasp* two storylines?! Impressive.
Aw, I love K-On, mindless and all. I wish there’d be more music and less tea, though~
Perhaps next time we’ll get… 5 minutes of music? You never know!
Ugh. K-On is not terrible, it’s just not good. You sometimes get the sense it could be if it tried, but it’s too lazy/crazy/cynically exploitative.
Truer words were never spoken.
Jesus christ. I just came upon…whatever the hell this is after all these years. This seems like another product of it’s time where people were still treating K-ON like it was the second coming of Satan.
Anyways, I can’t take all the bitching and snide remarks about Yui’s character in this post, let alone bitching about the show as a whole. This guy implicitly refers to Yui as ‘baggage’, but the truth is that this site had dumped it’s baggage a long time ago if this bone-headed moron hasn’t been seen on here since 2010. Seeing as we don’t have to see these shitty ‘reviews’ from this guy anymore, good riddance.
